Why is not Heavy Rain & Beyond two souls (ps3)?

I had a Playstation 3 super slim with 500gb, because my mother broke down 4 months ago, I bought 3 weeks ago a second hand from a colleague. On my old Playstation I could easily play my games "Beyond two souls" and "Heavy rain". But on my new ps3 I bought from my colleague, both games do not work either. When I reinfine the cd my ps3 tries to read the cd and it shakes so funny and eventually nothing stirs, the CD stops and it happens just nothing. I can play all the other games without any problems. At the weekend I was with a friend and played both games on their ps3 and there went the games, which I somehow do not understand. Because both CDs have no scratches and my ps3 can read other games, just not the 2 games. Does anyone have the same problem and could help me?

Oh and both games are from quantiodream. I have read something with firmware update on the Internet but I do not understand what that is or how to update it.

Ask your colleague if the chip (jailbreak) has been installed there, if not, then:

Is your PS3 connected to the internet?

If yes, you can go to Settings> System Update.

If not, you can download it here and install it via USB, the exact procedure is at the bottom of the page:

So my colleague has not built a chip & yes my Playstation is logged off with the Internet. I've already tried to update my Ps3, but that is the newest version is already on it.

So I download that down, I put this on a USB stick and then I connect the USB stick to the ps3 and pull the file down there. Right?

So if the system says it's up to date then you do not need to update it. With this system update, the installed version is 4.83, so that's the current one and you do not need to do anything anymore.

If there's another version, then you need a USB stick, there you create a folder called "PS3" and in this PS3 folder you create a folder called "UPDATE". In this update folder you put the downloaded file "PS3UPDAT.PUP".

Then USB in PS3 and go back to "System Update", only this time not internet but "manually" select.

Nevertheless, if it is not due to the jailbreak or the system version, then unfortunately I have no further idea what it is that the 2 games do not run on it…

I do not think it could be, but it's worth a try:

Check the memory files, if there are scores or trophies on the PS3 or anything else from these games.

If so, then delete them.
