PlayStation 3 shows only black picture on monitor?

I connected my PS3 to my monitor via an HDMI to DVI cable, which does get a signal but only shows black. If it helps, a photo of my monitor helps

Then the PS3 (HDMI connector) or the cable will probably be broken. You can try the analog port

The HDMI plug is not broken because I had previously connected it to the TV and with the cable I also connected my PC to the monitor
