4k 60hz or fhd 144hz?
I want to buy a monitor for around 250 euro. I currently have the ps4 but am considering buying the ps5 soon. Is it worth buying the 4k 60hz monitor or buying the fhd 144 Hz?
I mainly play shooting games like cod but also fifa, r6, gta, etc.
If this should only be used for the Play Station, do not make 144 Hz since the Play Station can output a maximum of 60 Hz.
The PS5 is expected to play 4K and 120 Hz. Therefore I advise you to use the 144Hz monitor. A 4K 120 Hz monitor costs around 500 euro, which is only worthwhile if they become cheaper.
120Hz means that the PS5 achieves 120 FPS with a 4K resolution. Accordingly, I think there will be more FPS with a Full HD resolution. The smoother the game, the more fun.

I definitely recommend FullHD with 144hz.
The difference between 60FPS and 120FPS, which the PS5 is supposed to support, is significantly larger than that between FullHD and 4K.
However, the question can't be answered exactly because some information is still missing.
The new consoles will not manage more than 4k with 60hz.
The PS5 only reaches 120hz in exceptional cases. With optimized PS4 games, the Hertz number should be doubled. 120hz are therefore only possible if a game on the PS4 was already played at 60hz. (30hz then becomes 60hz).
Otherwise, the standard (according to its own statement) should be 4k / 60hz. However, at AC: Valhalla you can see that not even that always has to be right. It will only run at 30hz.
So if the monitor is really just for the console, I would definitely go for the 4k.
You have to consider that a monitor usually survives several machines, so you should go directly to 144 Hz to invest in the future, because everything goes there. 60 Hz are of course also included in a 144.

It is a matter of taste. I'm actually quite happy with 16: 9
To what extent the games support WHQD I can't judge.
With an output of 120 Hz I think a 144 Hz screen does not really fit, whether all games will give more than 60 Hz again I doubt.
I'm completely satisfied with full hd. Also play R6 and the resolution is more than satisfactory.
