I claim you will see the dust the same way on the white surface. Especially if you haven't wiped dust in a while & walk over the part with a damp cloth. I'm sure that the dust will leave its traces of dirt on the white surface. Especially when the surface is not smooth but rather rough / embossed.

Can I do it again on the Xbox One S. I don't see the dust that way. Sony's black piano paint is really awful as far as that goes
