As in the title, my question is whether it is worth getting a PS4 Pro now or rather waiting for the PS5 by the end of the year?
Now it's no longer worth it. It doesn't take a year for the new consoles to come out.

Who says Ps5 will come out at the end of the year? The console will probably not come until autumn 2021

According to advertising, the PS5 comes out for Christmas.
But as with every new generation of consoles there will be bugs and problems so I would wait until March for the first big issues and bugs to be fixed.
If you can / want to wait another year I would wait.
If you don't have a PS4 I would recommend buying a slim one.
If you have a PS4 and just want to upgrade to the Pro I would wait for the PS5.
Sony has announced that it will be available for Christmas 2020.
Have no PS4, would upgrade from a PS3.
