In my house there are network cables in the wall from the bottom of the router (Fritz! Box Fon WLAN 7360) to the top of my room. Now I want to get the cables out of the wall and install a LAN socket at the top and bottom, so that I can e.g. From my router via the network cables in the wall to my room. I have better internet for my Playstation. Now my question is whether you have to install an amplifier or router in my room or so that the signal arrives or does it work without it?
If that goes over the cable you don't need anything.
As long as you use a LAN cable you don't have to use a repeater because the Internet goes through the cable and always arrives at the system when the cable is connected.
From 30m you need either a bridge or a switch… In theory! Underneath it is not a problem!
