I have a question about my BenQ DX 650 projector, which I would like to connect to my PlayStation 4.
the only problem is that I don't get a picture.
I bought an HDMI to VGA converter cable which then goes into my projector, the HDMI plug of the cable then goes into a converter again (hdmi out) where audio and HDMI are separated again since I let the sound run through the system.
In the converter a new HDMI cable (HDMI In) comes in which comes from the PlayStation.
even with the mere connection of the image transmission without a surround system or an extra converter, no image comes out
Can anyone help me further?
How long is the HDMI cable?
If it's longer than about 10m, that could be the problem.
Then you need an amplifier like this one: https://www.reichelt.de/hdmi-repeater-4k2k-bis-ca-40-m-shvp-77410-4k-p211247.html?PROVID=2788
The HDMI cable is only 3 meters long
it couldn't be because of that
Yes, then probably not.
Would you still have links or names to the converters?
What kind of playstation is it?
The cable says that it is suitable for the PlayStation:

the converter is from:
Since, as you write, the converter cable does not work even without the audio extractor, I would assume that it is defective.
In principle, however, the articles used should work.
I'm assuming that both the HDMI output on the PlayStation and the VGA input on the projector work with other devices.
Then I'll exchange this time, thanks for the help.
as soon as I have connected the projector with the new cables, I will contact you again
I ordered a new cable, unfortunately without success
Strange.
Then there's probably a problem with the resolutions.
Your converter can only max 1080p, what is the PlayStation doing?
Which resolutions does your projector support?
