Ps4 on monitor with vga?
wants to connect my ps4 to my monitor, unfortunately this only has a vga connection. I have now got a converter so from hdmi to vga and everything is done and on my monitor there's still no video input signal. See pictures below
You still have to select the source (VGA) on the monitor using the buttons.
It doesn't look that new anymore, so it probably won't do it by itself.
The converter is definitely the other way around: convert a VGA signal to HDMI.

Well, HDMI is purely digital, VGA is purely analog.
What you are trying to do CAN work but does not have to - it looks more like a passive adapter that does not actively convert
