Hence the question of which controller has a long service life. Unfortunately, I have already made the experience that a higher price does not mean a longer service life. Here also the note that you should not buy a Scuf controller! That's 250 euro of e-waste! Should I buy an original Sony PS4 controller or are there some that have a longer lifespan but work just as well? Please write me your experiences and suggestions.

I have had my ps4 controller for almost 5 years - no problems so far
I had used my PS4 controller for several years without any problems, and not a little. When it was sold, it was a bit worn but still very good in terms of battery power and buttons. So I think that you can use the original PS4 controller as normal.
So far I have only had better experience with the Xbox One controller + two batteries with charger for 20 euro.
