My question is when it will be possible to simply buy a PS5 in stores. It will probably not be possible to get one on the day of the release without pre-orders, but when do you suppose it will be possible to simply buy a PS5 at Saturn, Mediamarkt etc on site?

Will be Realesead at the end of 2020 so the console could be in Saturn, Mediamarkt etc. After 2 - 4 days, because of the delivery ^^
The devices are already in stock in the shop days in advance in order to avoid this delivery time.

You have to be patient, because at the moment we know so little about the ps5. Nobody knows when the sale will start, how expensive it will be, etc.

But what I can generally say is that the new xbox series will start on November 10th, and some new games have brought their release date forward to the same day as e.g. Ac valhalla. If the ps5 were to come out the same day, it would have to be available that day. You don't have to wait days. But that depends on the amount of pre-orders and the stocks of the respective markets.
The problem is that the stores are only allowed to order a certain number of devices, which are then available on the due date. Most of them are then already gone through the pre-orders and it takes until the next delivery comes.
