PS4+ new TV = high response time?

Today my new TV arrived (LG 43NANO796NE). This TV was specially advised to me to be able to play reasonably well on it, because the input delay is very low. Now I have the following problem:

When I move back and forth in the main menu on my PS4, everything goes super smooth and I can't seem to notice any lag. However, if I start GTA V or any other game, I feel a half-second delay. That makes steering through the streets of Los Santos not exactly easy when you always have to think half a second ahead.

In a nutshell: The menu runs without delay, as soon as I play something, I have a half-second delay. What can I do?

Is it the HDMI cable? Do I brsux a new / special one? Do I have to make settings on the TV?

Has that only been the case since you got the new TV? 30FPS games can sometimes be perceived as slow to react.

Yes, I played on my monitor before. It was definitely not like that there.

I realize that the reaction time on the TV is higher and I can't expect the standard from a TV, but what feels like half a second is already intense.

You need to enable Image → Additional Settings → Instant Game Response.

This should partially deactivate the internal image processing / enhancement so that the output is not delayed.

Thank you! I think it was on the whole time, but I switched it on and off again, maybe it will do something.

The difference in input lag between monitors and televisions is now so small that it should hardly be noticeable. I would guess that the game mode is not activated on the TV, but that contradicts your observations in the main menu.

I don't think GTA uses HDR either. So for me a subjective cause would be most likely.

Yes, he was not active… Everything is working out now. Nevertheless many thanks!
