Which Battlefield to Buy?

I'm mainly looking for dogfighting, air combat with jets. It has to be realistic and contain realistic physics. I'm less focused on ground fighting. I have no idea about Battlefield and I'm just looking for a game in which I can fight other jets with a jet. You may even know better games than Battlefield.

I already have GTA. But I'm a little new to dogfighting and if I die in GTA, then I'll be dead. Then it'll take until I'm ready to go again. GTA is just not focused on aerial combat.

I want a game where you're right back at it. That you can either request a jet or even spawn in it.

Platform is PS4.

Battlefield 4 is very suitable for this

And why not Battlefield one, Battlefield 3, or Battlefield 5?

There are no jets in Battlefield 1

The last battlefield with jets is Battlefield 4 from 2013, you will find less realistic dogfights and physics there.

Alternatively, you could check out War Thunder or Ace Combat 7.

Was Thunder on PS4? Thought it was only available on PC.

By realistic physics, I mean that you have to be tactical to get behind your opponent. You have to know when to brake, when to fire a boost, when to fire MG and when to fire missiles. And that you can avoid missiles without flares or ECM or anything else.

War Thunder is also available on PS4. You can almost forget about missiles in Battlefield without ECM and flares.

That's a shame. It's always pig satisfying when you dodge missiles and your opponents don't get it. But at least there are countermeasures.

How does that look like with War Thunder?

In contrast to Battlefield, in WarThunder you have no AntiAir tanks or infantrymen with stingers ^^ in air combat mode. Dodging should actually work fine there.

I just watched 2-3 videos of War Thunder and I don't think it's right for me.

It's just a mobile game. Making a good mobile game is not easy. There are many good ones, but almost every good one has a little quirk that makes it not so good after all.

The game immediately makes me think of the space battles of Star Wars Battlefront, because the maneuvers looked very similar, at least in the 2005 part.

Unfortunately, I can't think of a game that is just "better" in this style.
