Ps4 controller charging socket cable broken?

Hello the cable that connects the charging socket to the Ps4 controller (such a white cable which is blue at the front and at the end) is damaged at one end. So gold lines have come off. Can you fix it somehow. I would actually be reluctant to buy a new controller because I only need the controller to log into the Ps4, as far as I know there's no other solution. Would be nice if someone could help me. https://www.ebay.de/...=110138379

Yes, you can easily do it yourself

Ac

Yes, you can repair it very well, I recently repaired three of my controllers myself. I would swap the whole module, i.e. Charging socket + ribbon cable.

So that you know which parts you need, you first have to unscrew the controller, the serial number is on the main board (JDS 050 or similar), then you search for the parts. There are videos to unscrew at YT.

I always order parts from ebay, here is the socket that I needed:

The seller is very good, they have all parts and deliver quickly!

PS: Do not order parts for 2 euro on Ebay, that is cheaper China scrap and often comes from China, as in your link!

Thanks for the answer.

there was also a possibility to repair the cable like this, because only one side of a single mini gold stripe only came off half. A friend is with me right now so we would have to log into the Playstation somehow and then plug in the keyboard.

OK thanks

Is there a way to somehow log into the Ps4 or to repair the cable because only one side of 1 small gold strip has come off half.

Ac

Hmm, I should see that. Possibly. Could you stick the stripe back on the carrier or so that it has contact with it. But in my experience, you can usually forget about repairs to ribbon cables!

What would be possible would be to solder a bypass cable from the disconnected contact to the socket contact, i.e. A small wire as a bridge. But you need a good soldering station and skill!

OK thanks.

unfortunately I can't solder 😂
