I play on the PC, but would like to play some crossplay titles with friends on the PlayStation. Since there's no Teamspeak for the console, I was looking for a way to join the Ps4 chat from the PC. That's when I noticed PS remote play. Since I have a Ps4 at home I thought it would be no problem to connect to it, but this has been proven wrong. The error message ' A connection could not be established '' keeps appearing. The tip is I should make sure that my internet is strong enough. Have a 100K line that works without problems. Is it possible that my PS is connected to Wi-Fi and my PC is connected to Lan? Or do I need PS Plus for PS remote play? Could other factors play a role? Hope I can help someone.
Remote play and Wi-Fi is very vulnerable. I always recommend using a LAN connection, also for the Playstation. There are also distributors for this. Is the Playstation far away from your PC, so is there a wall in between or something similar? Remote play needs a stable and strong connection, even for 720p.
It is practically next to it. However, I have a second LAN cable that is long enough to connect it to the Ps4. Unless I put it one floor down.
And the router is also in the same room? As I said, I also had the problem with Wi-Fi, the partial stuttering in the game (when it ran) was only gone with the LAN cable. Otherwise just buy a LAN cable for 2-3 euro, that's not a hit. Then it should work.
Have a lan cable but only one that is long enough. Router is not in the same room. I'll try both devices on the LAN.
