Crash codes?

My buddy and another had an argument and one of them was so mad and sent him a crash code when he was online on the ps4 via the mobile phone app, according to my buddy, it apparently lagged so now I wanted to ask how blatant the punishment is for that and what can happen with a small crash code, so now it really was a text with 7-10 lines so much smaller than others that I have seen?
