Save game data on a PS4?

I would like to secure my PS4 save games externally on a USB stick. Now I go to the appropriate menu, I have the option "Save data to a USB stick" or something like that. When I do that, I can choose what I want to save everything. I've saved both "saved data", "settings" and everything else, but my USB stick has only 64GB. In addition, I still have the option to save applications, where I can then manually select the games, but the required storage space for once again affects the total size of the game (for example, RDR2 103GB). At 10 of these games you can imagine what this space needs. I wonder now, if you only need to save the pure game data, really load every application in its entire size on the USB stick, or if it is enough to transfer only the selection item "Stored data" on the USB stick

If you want to push the game data (like RDR2) on your "external" hard drive over, you need a capacity of at least 128GB on your USB stick. And of course USB 3.0
