I borrowed a game from my uncle on Playstation 4 (Shadow of the Colossus) but is it now available for free as a Ps + game?

As mentioned in the title, I borrowed a game for the Ps4 from my uncle because I got the Ps4 new and didn't have a game yet. Now I noticed that the game is now available for free thanks to Ps +. I would like to give the game back to my uncle since I can now play it with Ps +, but when I went to my library to download the game I couldn't, it was just a field that said I can start the game, but when I click on it, I see that I should insert the disc. If I then go to Options to see even more options, I would also have the option to delete the game, but I'm not sure if I will still have my old game state if I install the Ps + game. And now I don't really know what to do, because I have to give the game back to my uncle at some point.

Would be nice if someone knows what to do and could answer me

Must delete the game first then try again

Hello you have to uninstall the game first. You can upload your savegame to the cloud.

Then you have to "buy" the game from the store and download it. Then it should work.

Pa

Upload your score to PS Plus.
Delete game
Download the game from the PSN Store
Give the disc back to your uncle.

Reason: A disc game can't be transferred to a PSN. A PSN game has to be downloaded separately.

The game installation file and your game status are always (!) Separate. If you uninstall a game, the game will be saved. You can delete this separately. You can recognize scores by significantly smaller amounts of data, e.g. 300kb.

I can't guarantee it but try to uninstall the game and download the game via PS + without the CD.

The PS4 is probably currently trying to prevent you from getting a game onto your hard drive twice.
