Console not in use for a long time. Bad?

Since I got my PS5, my PS4 has been powered down and is only used for optics.

However, today my brother told me it wasn't good for the console. It sounds like a rumor to me. Consoles aren't cars, after all.

Or is there something to it?

It collects a bit of dust and gets louder, but I don't think it will break now.

I think so too. What is not bad is that the console can be taken apart at any time to dust it off. Is just some work 😁
