How do I get mods for Sonic Forces on the Ps4?

A friend of mine is playing Sonic Forces on PS4. He would like to play a different character and has seen on many YouTube videos that it is possible. Apparently there are mods for that. But he can't find it anywhere. Can someone explain how exactly to add mods to the game. So really step by step. He would like to play silver.

Sry having to say that, but there are no mods for the console, there are games there are a few game extensions that were once "mods" but not anymore, sony is relatively stubborn, one more reason to switch to pc

Thank you for your quick response. I did not know that. Why is there a lot of YouTube videos that say it's a mod. For PS4? At least my friend told me that he constantly watches videos where Mods PS4 is in the video description

Have a look in the psn store under sonic forces, there you can download shadow and super sonic for free, but they are only bonus levels, unfortunately there's nothing more
