Buy Ps5 on release day or do you prefer to wait?

My question is already well described in the title. The question arises because a few of my colleagues said that it is better to wait until any system errors that may be present on the release day are corrected. Since they have already experienced something like that with the Ps4.

Fa

I had my PS4 at the time of release and it went well. If something happened, you have a guarantee on it. So it's not bad.

St

If there are any, you can have them replaced or repaired like all products within 2 years.

But that shouldn't happen

Cl

Personally, I wouldn't buy it at all, otherwise I'd rather wait because if it flops, which can happen, it might be cheaper

Tr

I always wait a bit until it gets cheaper again, it's just like with the cars, stupid to buy them directly at release

Br

If you want a PS5 in the first few months after its release, it doesn't matter whether you buy it on the release day or weeks later. System errors are all fixed by software and not by adapting the hardware. If the PS5 has an error on day 0 and it is fixed on day 3, you can still gamble earlier than someone who waits a month.

Personally, I would still wait until there are the first offers and only then strike. I find the range of exclusive titles very manageable for me and can happily wait for the first six months.

Fa

Why should it flop? None has flopped so far.

Cl

It's a possible scenario. Clearly unlikely but not impossible

Fu

Thanks for the answer. So if you don't hear anything about hardware problems a week after the release, you could say that it would be safe to buy one and you probably won't get any problems.

They won't have any problems with the hardware. The console is tested several times beforehand so that something does not happen at all.
