I usually read it like that in memes or if someone asks something about a mobile game or something, it will be shown like this. So personally I'm now a PC and PS4 player, but I'm interested in why mobile gamers are called that.

But mobile gaming (on cell phones and tablets, not mobile consoles) is simply not real gaming, it is a pastime.
