Connect 2 optical cables to 1 PS4?

I have 1x a soundbar with an optical cable & 1x a headset with an optical cable, but my PS4 only has 1x out connection for the optical cable, my question is now. What do I need so that I can connect both to my PS4 at the same time without having to unplug them all the time?

A toslink splitter.

Optical cables transmit light. So you only need a box with a prism to double the signal.

Jop, that's 1: 1 the same thing, just called different.

I think the "Gold Plated Connector" is funny.

Thank-you. I was just a little irritated by the review of the article.

There one says:

"" Caution 2/1 out not 2/1 in!

I got this splitter because I wanted to plug my PlayStation and my TV receiver into an input of my Teufel Decoder Station.

That does not work! The splitter can only share one output signal on 2 inputs, but not 2 outputs on one input!

I also tried it the other way around (for the intended purpose), one entrance worked perfectly, the other had a wobbly. "

So I was a little confused because I didn't know exactly what he meant by that, but now I know, thanks.

As I said, there's a prism (mostly made of plastic in this price range) which splits the light (digital optical cables transmit their data with light). Technically, this only works in one direction. Namely one device (your Playstation) that makes music on two (or more) devices that play music (soundbar and headset)

The reason why I find the gold-plated connector funny.

The light does not care whether the socket is made of gold or hard plastic. The only thing that would be a qualitative increase would be a prism made of glass…

Wow, a headset with an optical output. Now I'm curious. What kind of part is that or what is the name?

It's a headset from Nanogaming
