Which TV for the Ps5? - 2

Hi

I bought a Grundig television about a month ago, but only now noticed that you need a television with HDMI 2.1 for the Ps5 to take advantage of its performance. That's why I'm currently looking for a new TV with 2.1. I can highest one. Get 43 inch TVs because everything bigger doesn't fit on my shelf. For YouTube videos, only televisions were suggested that only start at 49 inches. So I took a look myself and came across the Panasonic TX-HX 89 and the Panasonic TX-HXF887. These two are in the lower price range, it is worth buying one of them for the Ps5, because they both have HDMI 2.1

Google doesn't do it differently either. Under each TV there's a description of the connections 🤷♂️

Slowly slowly…
What is the name of the Grundig TV?

So I would first look at whether it really has a good picture because the "small" TVs often have a bad picture, even those where 4k support. So I got one from LG and the seller said I could also take one from Panasonic that has exactly the same features and the same picture but is more expensive. But I've also heard from LG that they should break quickly. I've already been three quarters of a year and everything is still fine. I don't know Panasonic as such, because I've never had anything like it, but I think they are pretty good and I mean the smaller ones had almost the best picture of any TV. So whether it is worth buying you have to know for yourself, but I would perhaps rather seek additional advice before I commit myself.

Interesting, I would not have thought that HDMI 2.1 devices were already available in this size and price range. There's still the question of whether the devices even have 100Hz panels, otherwise the main advantage of HDMI 2.1 would be lost.

By the way, you don't necessarily need a TV with HDMI 2.1 for the PS5, this is only about the use of certain additional features.

You won't need an Hdmi 2.1 as 4k60hz will be the maximum what the new consoles will do.

I think I've been telling this again and again for months. 😄 120hz at 4k will be absolute exceptions. That was actually never mentioned.

It will be a long time before the consoles are really fully exploited. And even then, I think that is extremely unlikely. And if it does, it has long been standard in the TV sector by then, so you will no longer be as restricted in the selection of devices as you are now.

Is of course nice to have because of other smaller advantages, but you shouldn't buy it now because you expect to play in 4k with 120hz.

Developers sometimes have difficulties with the new consoles to reach 60hz at 4k.

This is up-to-date, and almost all of that probably goes well together. If you read a little deeper into the matter, then this has already crystallized since the specs of both consoles were known.

First contradiction in the first 3 sentences…

It's always interesting to see how many "experts" can look into the future here with their crystal ball… I would love to!

Oh, then please enlighten me!

Ah understand slowly. I think that almost everyone with a bit of a clue understands what I mean. Exceptions prove the rule. 😄

If that puts the overall statement into perspective for you, then congratulations. 🙈

4K120 would be quite realistic, no one says that the 4K must be native. The interesting question is whether the developers are taking advantage of the limited distribution of HDMI 2.1 devices. The alternative would be 1080p120, but they don't look that great on common 4K TVs.

Addition: Unfortunately I wrote this text before I read the 2nd comment. Otherwise, I usually do not react to condescending statements from people who are offended because their content is corrected.
