I currently have a Ps3 and a Ps4. Both have a storage capacity of 1tb.
At that time, I didn't have to delete a single game on Ps3 (I had about 40 games and each of them on Blu-ray).
On Ps4 I only have about 7 games. CoD MW, although it is also on the Blu-ray, takes up more than 180 GB, which is already about 20% of the usable space. I have some other games, like Gran Tourismo Sport, which takes around 100GB to download.
Now I ask myself why there was no space jump from the PS3 to the Ps4 and why the PS5 should only have a mere 800GB? The games used to be tiny and are getting bigger, why isn't the hard drive getting bigger, but smaller instead?

The first model of the PS4 only had 500GB and the 1 TB models came later.
It will probably be the same with the PS5.
I simply replaced the 500GB hard drive with a 2tB hard drive.
