I have ordered a PS5 and am wondering if my monitor supports 120hz? I have an AOC C24G1 144hz monitor with 2x HDMI 1.4 ports. Does he manage the 120Hz or do I have to buy a new monitor? Just for information: It is very important that I have 120hz because I will mainly play games that support 120fps. So please do not answer with "60Hz is enough" etc.
Your monitor can reproduce up to 144Hz so it shouldn't have any problems with 120Hz. If it does not automatically switch from 60Hz to 120Hz you have to change the settings of the Ps5 or the monitor.
Thanks for your answer.
However, I have read several times that Sony does not support 120hz with a 1.4 HDMI cable. Allegedly you need a 2.1 HDMI cable, but my monitor only has the 1.4 connection…
Did it supports? I wanna buy this monitor for xbox series s.
