Good (more or less current) MMORPGs?

I've been playing Swtor for quite a while, but I've been at the point where I'm not really into it anymore. I also played Neverwinter on the PS4 for 1-2 months. Does one know a good MMORPG that still has good player numbers, a nice story and in which one has good variety and selection? It does not necessarily have to be Free2Play. WoW is not free. But I'm a bit skeptical about WoW, because the graphics are already very outdated, and I think a game should be a little more eye-catching than just a pretty good gameplay. I really want to start a new game. If you can recommend a good one, let me know if you might also be looking for someone to gamble in the game. Alone start is usually not so nice ^^

Guild Wars 2

The Elder Scrolls: Online

Blade & Soul

Black Desert Online

Tera

Neverwinter

Eve Online

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Final Fantasy XIV

No

With Guild Wars 2, you can play the basegame completely for free, but the game is more on the way down. For the PVE account, the installation is definitely worthwhile.

Maybe BlackDesert Online, but I never tried it myself.

I played SWTOR until some time ago, but I did not feel like it any more, because it's getting harder and harder to set up OR groups because you have to rumbles forever for tanks and DWTs.

Guild Wars 2
The second major expansion (Path of Fire) was released in 2017. In the PvE area also many people are playing.
The game is buy-to-play. The basic game can also be played with smaller restrictions for free.

Final Fantasy XIV
The third major expansion (Shadowbringers) appeared in 2019. Since then, the game has more players than ever before.
The game has a subscription model.

Have now looked at some Youtube videos and must say that there are currently no really good mmorpgs that would interest me. But that seems to many as I have learned there

Bo

Yes the problem is in many games the case with tank shortage.

Blade and Soul, Tera, Neverwinter ^^. There are unfortunately too many healers / supporter classes.

About 5 years ago and more it was still so that there was even a lack of healing.

But mass is not the same class.

In my opinion, that is because there's too much blaming.

If the "entire group" fails, for example through:

Too many players are in AOEs too often and too long
Players pull too many mobs at once
Opponents turned off with CC are unnecessarily attacked
Players do not know the tactics
Second tank or some DPS unnecessarily steal aggro from the main tank
Group leader does not explain the tactics, although it was said at the beginning that some players are new.

And many other things.

Then the blame for the failure of the entire group is given to either the tank or the healers.

I have experienced hundreds of times.

In addition, there are too few big guilds in SWTOR to train new tank players. Guild surgeries are barely made anymore, almost exclusively with PUBG groups.
