PS5 sleep mode, game closes?

If I leave a game open, then put the PS5 to sleep and then leave it on for the night, will the game still be open the next morning?

I mean I can remember that it stays open. I mean

I don't want to risk it because if it doesn't work I'll have to play a difficult part of the game again

Yes the game remains open. When the playstation goes out of sleep mode, the game is right where you left off. Except online games. At some point you will be kicked out because of inactivity.
