I'm looking for something that can finally end my battle against poor internet connection. I often play Ps4, but my room is too far away from the router, there are no LAN connections and a repeater only partially helps. So I wanted to try the Powerline variant. So I ordered and installed the adapters from TP link and it was perfect until after 1-2 hours several disconnections occurred.
Do you know whether this is the case with all adapters or whether this is specifically due to the fact that the Internet connection is so unstable and if so, which ones are better.
(The speed is not that important, 30mb / s is enough).
Can someone help or has other ideas?
It could not be that simply the connection to your Internet provider is the problem. In principle, you are powerless against this.
With these Powerline adapters, a lot has to do with your house installation. In our house it led to DSL crashes all the time. Sometimes even two sockets next to each other have different stability and speed. Just give it a try and see if it works.
No, the Internet is completely normal and good directly at the router. The only problem is the distance to my room.
A normal LAN cable is not feasible?
Powerlan can work well or it can be total disaster. Unfortunately you have to try it out.
A good repeater, or a repeater chain, is often better.
