Are single-player fans disadvantaged?

So since playstation 3 more and more games have an online mode.

There are so many people playing online. The developers notice this and hardly do anything in the single player mode. For example, Fifa has been doing little to nothing in the single player mode for years. On the contrary, they try to convince the players of their rip-off mode with many means.

Rockstar games also only does something for the online mode at gta5.

But there are many who don't like online that much and they also want a stroy dlc or a new gta.

The parts of gta are getting longer and longer. Gta 5 is already 7 years old.

Also many other games. Even simulators have an online mode.

Do you think that the single player fans are disadvantaged?

I feel deprived and am slowly starting to curse online gaming.

FIFA was one of my favorite games. Today the single player mode is so buggy that it is hardly playable. Because there's no more work to do. OK ea shouldn't be compared to other developers. Ea is a fraud association. Many people fall for it.

But even rockstar games (I'm a fan of Rockstar games) only works on the online mode.

Other developers are also following suit.

My concern is that at some point it will only be online and single players will only be able to play the older games. Because the latest will only go online.

What do you think in general

1. Are single player fans disadvantaged?

2. Will there be no single player mode at some point due to the online success?

I agree with you 90 percent. But I can do more online for that. The single player campaign in shooters is never longer than 7 hours. Multiplayer, I played some games 100 times as much. Therefore, prefer to use the resources on multiplayer.
