What do you think of the official PS5 design?

Here we see the official design. How do you find the design?

I personally think that Playstation 5 just looks ugly! Other than Demon's Souls, they hadn't shown any good games to tempt you to buy! The PS event and PS5 are just a disappointment! The Xbox doesn't look much better, but it fits better in every apartment, it has more power and probably better games than the PS5!

This is probably for the target group: teenagers who are very superficial.
Personally, I'm an experienced PC builder and I don't give a damn about the design.
A PC doesn't have to be aerodynamic or shine, the only thing that matters is the components and the performance.

Incidentally, I've never owned a console of any kind, maybe I shouldn't have had a say here, but I wanted to get rid of it.

I don't really care, but I would prefer a black box, because it would fit better into the room. Now such a spaceship stands out.

Does the controller actually have this light in the back that always shines on the monitor in the dark? That annoyed me on the PS4 controller.

No. Was replaced by an LED stripe. Directly in the touchpad (according to the presentation)

I like it standing upright. Something different. I just hope that the cooling doesn't suffer from the design.

Right, I just hope that's enough. A slightly wider case with more volume would certainly have expanded the air circulation and larger fans could have been installed.

The PS5 will have multiple fans (rumored to be up to 6), which of course must be smaller than the single 15 cm fan of the XBox Series X.

Smaller fans mean higher speed to move the same amount of air, which in turn brings more volume.

Probably because of this the rumor with the 6 fans that you could let each of the fans run a little slower / quieter again. Still, I suspect the XSX will be quieter than the PS5 because the overall design is geared towards cooling.
