A long time ago I got Destiny 2 for the PS4 release. I have not touched it for a long time, but now I've got it out of the Pile of Shame and think it's really good! Now I want to get all extensions. To my chagrin you can't buy them individually in the PS4 Store. There's only the Forsaken Complete Collection, in which allegedly the main game is already included. My question is: If I already own the main game and have saved games, what happens if I download the Complete Collection from the store? Will the new main game overwrite the old one and I lose my progress or will the console (hopefully) install only what I do not have yet? Did anyone have similar problems with other games where the DLCs were not available to buy separately?
That's because the first DLC is already available for free and is part of the main game!
With almost every DLC Bungie has released a new bundle, which is generally cheaper than if you buy the items individually.
You can access without hesitation. This all runs on a save and is stored anyway at Bungie, regardless of the version of your game.
Many thanks for your response!
Is that really so? I've been in parallel with the PS support and have just received the answer that my main game would be overwritten, if I get the Complete Collection (which I actually do not believe). The thing is, I've been through the campaign since yesterday and no further than Lv. 30 can ascend. Does the problem resolve itself if I dare and get the Complete Collection?
Alternatively, I thought that I would get the Legendary Collection from Amazon and use the code for downloading the DLCs. However, I'm afraid the code might have expired by now. : / The worst scenario would be if I had to start all over again because I already made some in-game buys.
You lose nothing.
Your save is saved through your PSN account at Bungie.
Regardless of the version you buy and use.
Oof, thank you. Then the dude from PSN support told me garbage. : I'll try it out right now!
Your version on the hard drive is already converted to the new version. But that does not change your score.
