Hey guys a buddy of mine gave me his PS3 account because he wants to sell his PS3. Anyway, there are a lot of games, trophies bought on his PS3 account… But I have a PS4. What would happen if I logged into my PS4 with his PS3 account. Could I register at all? Can I play the PS3 games I bought on my PS4? Are the PS3 trophies transferable to the PS4?
It is not a PS3 account, but a PSN, i.e. Playstatin Network Account, i.e. You can also use it to register on the PS4+ download and play games that you have bought in the store, as long as they are PS4 or backward-compatible games which, to my knowledge, are not available on the PS4
There's no PS3 account but only a Playstation Network Account and this can be used on both consoles without any problems. The trophies earned on the PS3 are also displayed on the PS4. You can't play PS3 games on PS4.
