Is it worth switching to the Ps5?

Gu

Yes, in any case

The PS4 is 8 years old. If you play actively, there's no question whether the switch is worthwhile.

If you want to stick with the Sony console and continue to enjoy playing the latest games, it definitely makes sense.

But doesn't have to be immediately. I would wait another six months.

But what about e.g. With the Pro model of the PS4, which is "only" 4 years old, but on the same level as the Xbox One X in terms of performance? The questioner also did not write whether he owns the normal PS4, the Slim or the Pro. Because I don't see any reason to upgrade with the Pro, unless: You really want this 4K 120 FPS guaranteed and you already have a corresponding 4K TV / screen… There would also be another reason for the PS5 if you really have the wants to play the latest launch titles that will not be released for the PS4.

Br

That depends on whether you want to play upcoming games ^^

I'm currently playing ps2 mainly because of Persona, the old consoles are always worth it!

The Pro is not that much better either and the comparison to the Xbox One X does not help, as this is also an outdated console. And the difference between the Ps4 Pro and the Ps5 is definitely very high (luckily). Since I'm more of a PC gamer, I'm maybe a bit too critical on the subject, but consoles have always been out of date on the release date. The new generation of consoles is the first that at least currently has the technical potential to keep up with PCs.

Well, just because the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro are a few years old, that doesn't say anything about the actual performance the two consoles produce. And that is already on a good level, so that an upgrade of both (and I'm not just going after some specsheets or the fact that the consoles are 4 years old) is usually not worthwhile financially.

But everyone has their opinion: In my opinion, an upgrade is worthwhile if, as I said, you want to play guaranteed in 4K with decent details or 120 FPS OR if you also want to play the latest games that will not be available for the current generation of consoles at the same time. Or it's also worth it if you own one of the following consoles: The first PS4, PS4 Slim, Xbox One S or the first Xbox One.

po

Well, the reasons you mentioned are the only ones why people get a new console anyway. I think it's clear that it doesn't make sense to spend 500 euro to play the same games on another console.
