I have the choice between a 43 inch Samsung TU8079 Smart TV and a Philips Ambilight 43PUS7805 / 12, also 43 inch. The Philips is a little more expensive. Which one should i take? Would like to use it mainly for Netflix, Spotify and Playstation.
Is the Philips also a "Smart TV"?
Xiaomi LED take a look at it.
Yes he is
Really lousy boxes
Much worse, however: Xiaomi has forgotten the plus and minus buttons for changing programs - you can't zap with the Xiaomi Mi TV 4S! Instead, users have to call up the channel list to change the TV program, go to the desired channel, confirm with OK and then hide the channel list again with Exit. Or learn the program locations by heart and call up the desired programs using the numeric keypad. In addition, the program list does not contain the usual information about programs currently being broadcast - comfortable and contemporary television is different.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4S: many, but wrong colors
That is typical for this price range, really brilliant HDR quality costs twice as much and more. A maximum brightness of just under 350 candelas per square meter is respectable. On the other hand, the splendor of colors that the Xiaomi can display is absolutely atypical. Unfortunately, it can't be tamed for normal films and TV programs; the screen does not differentiate between normal videos and HDR in terms of colors. This makes the picture look overdrawn, too colorful and not very natural.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4S: The picture quality is so good
The picture didn't look really good in the test even after these measures, so skin tones always looked a bit unhealthy and blotchy. This impression was confirmed in the measuring laboratory with comparatively high color deviations. In addition, there's a somewhat faint contrast display with normal film and TV fare and slightly drowned black with HDR. Action hero Jack Ryan's head of hair looked like a matted fur hat. The Xiaomi Mi 4S 65 left an ambivalent impression when it moved. In the "Clear" setting neither jerking nor excessive smoothness were annoying, but the image clearly lost its sharpness.
