My girlfriend put the leaky iron on my PS4. That has ended on the switched off PS4.
For 3-4 days now there was water everywhere, especially on the main board.
I screwed this on, see picture.
Does the yellow / orange come from the correction? Does that mean the PS4 is total damage or is there still hope? If so, what to do?
The brown discolored is simply rust…
It's best to let it dry for a week, then switch it on and hope…
Looks bad… Let it dry and then try to start carefully, but I can't guarantee you anything…
Who puts an iron on a Playsi? Vlt. Pays insurance? Liability or something?
I would put the ps4 as it is now screwed into a bag and fill it with rice for several days and hope that the rice absorbs the liquid. I also heard of tricks where you put the affected part in the boiler room for several days. Maybe one will work. Press the thumb
He just brought the graphics card back

Corrosion happens especially when different metals come into close contact with water, e.g. With electronics
Brown is mostly iron like in the shielding plates & screws.
Where are the high resolution images of the board?
rinse the board with alcohol if necessary (first ethanol, later propanol)
Hello my girlfriend put the leaky iron on my PS4. That has ended on the switched off PS4.
Generally, irons are NOT placed on other technology, not only because of water, but also because of heat
He just brought the graphics card back
Straight * auto correction

So a straight graphics card instead of a crook?
He just got the ps4
He just got the ps4
Ah you can understand that ^^
then it's not that bad if the old one is broken, he can continue playing immediately.
And? What do you conclude from this now?!
He said it could be rust the yellow / brown, I do not think if it is new
He is me Sure, the part has water damage! Then of course it will rust, whether new or old… 🙄
Rostrn things so quickly: 3?
Does it rust within a few days?
The board got it very easily, most of it seems to have gotten into the CD drive
Clear. This is not rust-proof, because you don't normally assume that it is necessary, it doesn't normally get wet…
Put a non-rustproof knife in water in the kitchen - it doesn't take nearly an hour to start rusting!

unscrew the drive, if you test the problem PS4, then without the drive
Corrosion in the power supply is particularly dangerous
