I'm currently streaming frequently on Twitch and have encountered the following problem with OBS Studio:
If you should enter the basic (screen) resolution under the settings for video, I don't know exactly what to enter there. The resolution of my monitor is 2560x1440 so WQHD. But is this resolution right for streaming? I was once told that 1920x1080 is the golden mean. And what exactly is the difference afterwards whether I use an FHD or WQHD resolution?
Be happy about any answer
I was once told that 1920x1080 is the golden mean.
You have been told nonsense. The "golden mean" is 900p.
That corresponds to 1600x900.
Why?
It's a mix of low data compression 720p
And the quality 1080p.
And what exactly is the difference afterwards whether I use an FHD or WQHD resolution?
Under "Output scaling" you have to set the output in which resolution you want to stream. The basic resolution is yours and stays as it is.
Thank you helped me
