I'm considering whether an iPad with 256 was enough, although I would prefer that with 1TB, because there's currently a price difference of 899 euro (256gb) and 1339 euro (1TB).
Mainly I want to watch Netflix, Prime, YouTube and Twitch with the iPad, google a bit, play games, use apps like Instagram and TikTok, online lessons, paint and something like that. Later I would like to use it to cut videos, possibly with Premiere Pro, and I would also like to use Photoshop.
I mainly don't want to take photos with it, they also take away a lot of gigabytes.
What would you recommend?
Is 256gb enough for my project? Or is 1TB better? You also have to take into account the gb that the system takes away…
A new iPad with 2 TB has recently been released… Is that an exaggeration.
I mean more gigabytes are always better, otherwise you have to keep deleting.
I always recommend the largest memory. With my first iPhone I thought that there was not enough memory, which I quickly regretted
you shouldn't forget that you can't upgrade memory and that you have to live with what you have (or a subscription to the cloud for more) because it is safer to take more from the start
256GB is sufficient for online applications / streaming.
If you use software like Premiere Pro, etc. And then save the videos on the computer, that of course takes up storage space - tendency towards 1 TB.
You can of course also save videos and photos on an external hard drive or run large programs on an external SSD disk, then 256 GB are easily enough.
Look something external! SSD disks, you can save the additional price of 1TB for the Ipad!
This is definitely helpful!
With pleasure:-)
I would advise you to use the larger memory if you want to use the iPad for several years. Especially if you use applications like the one you meant, 256GB can be full after a while and then you are annoyed that you did not take the one with more memory. I know the extra charge is expensive, but I advise you to go for a bigger storage. Hope this helps you!
Okay thanks! That's good to know.
Thanks! This is really helpful.
No problem, I'm a huge Apple fan.
Haha me too.
So I see it very differently when I look through the answers like this…
Especially on the iPad Pro you can easily use external storage options… So 256 GB is always sufficient… If you keep the system a little "tidy"…
You don't always have to keep all films / downloads on the device… You can also sort out something again and again and reload it if necessary…
On my old Pro 12.9 I only have 64 GB… Nevertheless, I have a lot of music, audio books, films and pictures on it… And also have a lot free…
On an external stick with 256 GB I would always have access to a lot more if I needed it…
256 GB is enough, and if you really need more space, you can certainly expand the memory with additional memory cards, the difference in the expensive device is approx. 750 GB; and that for an extra 440 euro.
