Why do people donate Twitch Strearn like montanablack so much, but aid organizations are just above water because of too little donation?
Because they're likeable
Because they have a closer relationship with the streamers and can maintain them.
You do not know the other and only do it as a good gesture and such
Because our oh so tolerant and world-improving society looks at fortnite dances rather than starving or sick people.
But it's not that simple. On the one hand, you can't say whether the streamers donate something else, and then of course the ratio of what an organization needs in terms of money is completely different.
There's also the question of the meaning of the donations. Some organizations "burn" the majority of a donation for the cost of their own maintenance, 8 or 9 talers go from 10 euro directly to the organization, and only 1 or 2 euro are really used to support the actual goal of the affected person.
And, at least that's how I see it, not everyone has to donate. There are enough people who help more than enough people because of their profession, so they do not necessarily have to spend money on it. At least I think so.
Because people simply don't care. As long as it is useful for entertainment, the money flows. Sad but true.
Many people live by the principle: "I can't buy anything for idealism."
Because:
They make a better impression on their followers
You can deduct the donations from the tax
You most certainly have enough left
