How do you declare affiliate?

I recently became an affiliate on twitch, I also told my parents that, but they didn't tell.

How can you explain affiliate for people who are not very familiar with the internet, technology etc?

An affiliate makes a recommendation for a product or service on the Internet and receives a commission.

Ideally 50% commission.
