Twitch launcher with mods in ME + optifine?

How can you use Minecraft via the twitchlauncher, mods + optifine? Will use the minecolonies mod but also optifine. How does it work?

Install Minecraft, create a profile, install the mod. Then you still download Optifine, on the official site and put it in the mods folder. In Twitch you can right-click on your profile and open the folder directly.

I'll give it a try.
