I have the following problem: As I noticed, my email address was hacked, which I noticed because emails were repeatedly sent to me to change my password for Instagram, Facebook, Twitch etc. The first thing I always did was change my password (which I did several times) with special characters, uppercase and lowercase letters. Again and again I got emails in English, Russian… But now I got an email from Netflix that was in English. My question now is what should I do? Should I delete the email account that is no longer in use or what should I do?

Ka

I would delete it.

I would definitely delete it. You can set up a new (maybe a little more secure) account and log into your apps again.

Ja

Did you delete the passwords from the emails using the links or directly on the pages?

An

Not sure what if I changed them using the links?

Ja

Your email account would probably not be hacked.

The emails you get are called phishing emails. If you read them and use the links in these emails to access your accounts, you will come across fake pages.

If you log into your accounts there, the scammers can read your login names and passwords and then use them to log into the original pages.

So you should never click on the links in such emails.

Please change passwords only on the original pages in the browser.
