I wanted to play a Minecraft modpack with some people, which we download via the Twitch Launcher. For them it worked but for me the point is not "install.

It may be because you have a launcher for a 64bit system downloaded and your system supports only 32bit or vice versa.
what kind of system you have can you find out by right clicking on the computer icon and then go to communities there's what system you have.
