What does the future of RTL and Pro Sieben look like? Do you think they will be destroyed by Netflix, YouTube, Twitch, etc. In the medium to long term? Or will the offer be heavily rebuilt?
I think that's what it boils down to. They'll still have viewers, but they're doing more and more garbage shows. They also copy concepts from Youtube (Try not to laugh). This shows that you are running out of ideas.
Classic television will continue to exist. It's changing a lot towards life shows / broadcasts and trash formats
They will continue to produce some kind of content, but then perhaps offer it more and more via streaming services.
They will survive longer or have more showers than ZDF / ARD and the 3 channels from which the ZDF and so the viewers die away because it was mostly watched by older people and only something like crime scene, crime novels and news from everyone
In the medium term, no, and as long as there's no nationwide broadband expansion in Germany, not anyway.
Ultimately, Pro7 and Co. Bring not only films / series, but also live shows, live sports and news.
You can't cover this need with Netflix.
Theoretically, this would be possible via YT, but only if people get involved.
I'm not that old myself in my mid-30s, but I can't even imagine looking at my messages exclusively on the Internet.
For me alone, it is a horror to watch live sports via DAZN (e.g. Because there's no permanent stable connection). The idea that I can only watch everything else via stream is terrible.
OK, I also use IPTV, but it makes a difference whether I have to start any apps or just zap through with the remote control.
