Can you activate the donate button for viewers without being a Twitch partner?

So, for example, you only advertise if you are a Twitch partner, or in general you only get money through Twitch, through the partnership. Can my viewers donate to me even if I'm not a partner? And what are the conditions that I have to meet in order to become a Twitch partner? And do I only make money through donations and advertising on Twitch, or is there another money factor?
