How to become a successful Twitch streamer?

Hi, I'm thinking of taking a year off after graduation to start with Twitch and to concentrate on it for the most part. Even if, according to statistics, it is very unlikely to be successful, I believe that a lot can be achieved with an interesting personality and entertaining friends. I don't want to get rich from Twitch. Simply build up a decent income so that you don't have to work on the side. How do you assess the situation? During the lockdowns you see again and again that Twitch has a clear advantage in today's world.
ps: is the biggest dream of mine so far. But don't want to stream for years without a viewer.

Hello natural person Mushroom tea, you can take a sabbatical year after graduation. I will do this too. Achieve Your Dreams

Yi

It takes a structured plan and a lot of luck.

Yes, my motivation is very high and I hope I get a chance. Also wish you the best of luck in achieving your goal.

Gu

Thank you so much.

I would rather start doing it on the side, because I don't think 1 year is enough to be really successful. Other streamers take years to become successful, that doesn't happen that quickly. First make sure that it really works in the long run.

Yes you are right. I just don't want to start studying straight away and then drop out later. I would like to see beforehand whether a possibility arises on Twitch. But I will most likely have to work on the side…

So I HIGHLY advise against risk in relation to that, but I would highly recommend doing it as a hobby as long as you enjoy it.
You will be able to estimate after about 6 months at the latest whether a significant amount of money can come out of this, if you also stream regularly so that it becomes more realistic.
As you said, this is anything but easy, unless you are an exceptional talent and / or are lucky through raids / hosts.
