Lispeln, defeated by braces?

Hi, so I'm David 14 years old and Lisple for a lifetime. Since I was teased because of that, I want to get away without it. At the age of 6, I was with the speech therapist, and I also mastered it as "successful". Only my teeth are the problem for me. Can it be of any use if I get a brace from a dentist or if you get braces, braces and lose weight after a longer period of time, not Lisple anymore? I want to get away with it, because I would like to stream via Twitch at some point and also want to entertain people through it.

A brace does not automatically help against lisp. Although there are malocclusions that complicate the clear / correct pronunciation of certain sounds, but mostly it is rather not (only) because of it.

An orthodontist can tell you if you have a malocclusion that requires treatment. It would probably make more sense to lisp, if you were to become a speech therapist again - especially if a first therapy was successful there.

OK thanks.

So, according to my doctor, I have a crossbite, it might be because of it?

I can. But you have to correct the crossbite quite independently of the lisp.
