Do you want to give away subs on Twitch?

When gifts are given away on Twitch, an area appears above the chat. Do you have to press on it to get the sub, or is it a coincidence who gets the sub?

The subs are distributed randomly, unless the "give away" (ka as I'm supposed to write otherwise) specifies a specific person. However, this is only possible with a maximum of one person at a time. Everything over 1 is random
