Sudden sporades of extremely loud noise when playing audio on a PC?

I was often frightened, be it on youtube twitch spotify etc. A sudden, very loud noise sets in, which is, however, easily remedied by briefly muting or stopping the playback. Nothing else can be heard during the loud noise. I have a sound interface, audio program / driver from the manufacturer updated / installed.

Could be an override. Google helps.
