I bought an Xbox controller for the PC a little while ago (about 3 months ago). I would like to return it and get a Ps4 controller from it.
My friend used to do this by returning the controller and saying that it was broken. He then got the money and then bought a new one. (His controller wasn't broken)
I've done it this way before and I'm considering whether I should do it again. Should I?
If you want to commit an apparent fraud…
That's cheating. You should be clear.
And what if I say that the controller worked on my Xbox but is not recognized on the PC?
Bad luck.
It is still an attempt to defraud. Basically you have no right of return in shops, especially not after three months. If it is exchanged, it is a pure goodwill of the business, you should be clear.
What is wrong with you and your colleague. Sorry I would not come up with such an idea, because I'm not correct for it. But that is probably also a matter of education and attitude.
It is and remains fraud, no matter what lie you tell them.
A lie does not make up for fraud.
