Does the Dark Souls Soul Glitch work in a normal game?

There's a soul glitch where you do that with the 999 arrows. I have the normal version. It doesn't work, am I doing something wrong or does it only work with remastered? Does anyone have a great glitch for normal console version Xbox 360
